there are 2 news to make !!!
a) Leave of AbsenceIn view of the escalating number of Influenza A (H1N1-2009) infections, including local infections, a 7-day Leave of Absence (LOA) will be implemented with immediate effect for staff and students in the following situations:- Staff and students returning from any of the affected countries
- Staff and students who are sick with flu-like symptoms or flu-like illnesses (eg fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose)
- Staff and students whose household members are confirmed H1N1 cases, unless they are already serving HQO
Those under LOA are advised to monitor their health conditions, take temperature twice daily and practise social distancing. List of Affected CountriesAs at 24 Jun 2009, there are 15 affected countries, as follows:USA, Mexico, Canada, Australia, Chile, UK, Japan, Spain, Argentina, Panama, Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong SAR, Dominican Republic and Indonesia Those intending to travel should keep yourselves abreast of developments in the Influenza A (H1N1-2009) situation in the countries you are planning to visit. Such information can be found at MOH's website at http://www.moh.gov.sg.Pandemic Preparedness Clinic Staff and students with flu-like symptoms or flu-like illnesses are to seek medical attention from Pandemic Preparedness Clinic (PPC) or call 993. The list of PPCs can be found at MOH’s website at http://www.moh.gov.sgPlease also monitor closely the health of your household members, especially those who return from affected countries. Temperature TakingITE will continue with its current practice of temperature taking until further notice, as follows:Upon commencement of the new term, daily temperature taking for staff and students is to be conducted for the following 7 days, including Saturday and Sunday if staff and students have activities in the campus.Daily DeclarationThe current daily declaration (Mon - Fri) will continue for staff and students (upon commencement of the new term for students), until further notice. b)
Lessons will be as per usual on Friday 17 July 2009 for our class, and the only students who are excused from attending classes are the 6-7 students that have submitted their application form (and have been approved) to join the Kukup Trip organised by the School for our Office students cohort.All other students are expected to attend classes.
